Mommy's New Job
Ok... so it's not a great time to start looking for a job right now. Duh.
Buuuuut- Gracie finally has a place at the hospital's Learning Center (preschool/daycare) and she's been on the waiting list for 9 months so I'd hate to waste the opportunity.
I am going to use the daylight hours to write on three books that I've had bouncing around in the prep process (but never actually had time to WRITE) and I'm also looking into starting a new little home business doing something for others that I've done for myself the past few years.
Holiday, birthday, and christening cards.
I'll let ya' know when the site is up and running.

Pictures, Movies, and Updates, oh my!
Ok... I'll just say that Daddy wasn't too excited about this cheerleader outfit that Mommy bought. But... GO CARDS!

We visited my grandparents a couple of weeks ago. Note to Dad: the homestead needs work. Call Uncle F. I drove passed it three times before I realized this was the old farm.
Ok... I THINK these movies are of Daniel singing. He has taken to using anything cylidrical as a microphone and climbing up on laundry baskets, chairs and the fireplace as his stage. Future performer at work here (and in case you don't recognize the tunes he only sings ABC's and Twinkle twinkle little star).

The Pen is mightier...
Hello friends and family. Sorry we don't write much here, it's really more like a little brag-book of pictures that people carry around but here are a few updates.
Rudy- Has started his new job as a real doctor. He's had good days and long days. I don't think he's had bad days yet, but long- yes. We are very proud of our Daddy (or Gaggy as Daniel says- darn D's!) and we especially like the days when he is able to round and be home at 2 or 3.
Stephanie- Is a busy mom. She has been working out at the Meyer Center with the help of personal trainer, Jenn (it's part of the center membership every 6 or so weeks) and has re-started weight watchers. She, with Rudy, have also traded in ol' KiKi (her college car) for a three row, gas guzzling Chevy Tahoe. It's not brand new but it's perfect for our family and feels very luxurious in comparison.
Daniel- Our little wall artist has grown past using the very available canvas' (thank goodness!) and is now bordering on obsession with Legos. He's started to finally talk more, secretly a worry spot to Mommy with his ears history. He is potty training, slowly. But we've gotten to the point where he wakes up dry most mornings and heads straight to the potty.
Gracie- The most dancing-est, singing-est girl there ever was... and yet still a tomboy and dare devil. I swear if there were Amazons out there they would love this girl. She has no fear and frequently uses the cute factor with methodical precision to get what she wants (she waves at her Papa with her foot for goodness sakes!) We are looking to get her into dance or gymnastics in the near future as an outlet for her crazy creative self.
You'll notice that the names are hyperlinks. Rudy's goes to the webpage with his group. Stephanie's goes to her personal blog that doesn't pull punches, if you don't honestly want to know what she's thinking don't go there. Daniel's goes to the Springfield-Green County Board Golf link, he will be getting his own (very short) clubs soon to practice with Daddy and Papa. Gracie link is to the Springfield Little Theatre, where I'm sure she'll be a star with the way she sings and dances all the time.

We're not homeless!
We found a house in Springfield! Once again, it is the builder's house... but this time the house is only 1 year old (we bought the Jackson house when it was 12 years old and a couple owners later). It's a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house with a living room and a hearth room. The builder put in wood blinds and a privacy fence... and one of those big wooden swingsets! Daniel and Gracie are super excited!
Our camera didn't work (we forgot to charge it) but my mom took lots of pictures and we'll get those up soon.
We're movin' up in the world... or as Lisa would say we're about to "live like rock stars" :-p

Our Florida Vacation
We went and saw Nana and Papa' (appropriate accent on the last a, please) in Clearwater. We went to the beach and the aquarium and then we went to the Coast Guard station where the munchkins got to see what professional heros do. They got to sit in a C130 (what Papa' flies now), an H60 (coincidentally the SAME helicopter used in the movie The Guardian), and an H65 (what Papa' used to fly)... They swam in a tub and then at the Clearwater Beach. Fun fun!
